I'm moving to Colorado next month, so how fitting that this month's photo is of snow. Snow, Snow, Snow...I love snow. The only thing better than waking up to find a foot of snow outside is waking up to find two feet of snow outside. I will hopefully have a lot more photos of snow from Colorado. However, those images will probably also have mountains too.

Smoke, strobe light, colored gels, camera. That's about it. Enjoy.

Who wouldn't have fun shooting guns at the farm? I shot some clay pigeons and some great photos last weekend. The shooter's face has been cropped out to protect the innocent.

I've been out of town for a little while, and I brought everyone back a photo. I spent the last week in Fort Collins, Colorado working and I was able to get up to Rocky Mountain National Park for a day. It's impossible to relate what it's like to actually being there, but I think this photo helps.

I was: a) Riding in on F-15 while taking a photo of the other one. b) In a passenger jet over the wrong airspace. c) At the Cleveland Air Show with a big lens.

I tried blue, green, yellow and red. I think red looks the best.

I was driving down in the flats in Cleveland, and I came accross this shop. There's nothing like an overload of signage. Does anyone know what a Torpedo Heater is?

I just wanted to see what it looks like from the outside when I'm working on the computer late at night. Now we all know.

We went about 3 weeks without rain in Cleveland, then we finally had a couple days in a row of rain. I got the macro out in the evening to get a few shots. This is an HDR (High Dynamic Range) shot composed in Photoshop. HDR images are compiled from a few bracketed images of the same subject. The result is an image that offers a wider range of intensity levels from highlights to shadows.
HDR Rock July 7, 2007This photograph was originally taken in the spring, but I combined the images into a High Dynamic Range (HDR) image just now. By bracketing a few photographs, then combining them in Photoshop you are able to create an almost surrealistic image.
Champ Car Helmet June 24, 2007I didn't get a press pass for the Cleveland Grand Prix this year, but I did get into the pits for the race. When you're a spectator, there are only so many good shots you can get without fence or a photographer (who has a press pass) in front of you. I was able to wedge between some people to get this shot during a pit stop.
International Space Station June 19, 2007
The news reported that the International Space Station (ISS) was going to fly right over Cleveland, Ohio tonight. They mentioned it would take a few minutes to cross the sky. I had no idea it was going to shoot through the sky as fast as a jet would fly overhead. There are two light trails: one is the ISS, the other is the Space Shuttle which had just undocked earlier in the day.
